Expect the unexpected

I don’t know about you, but my life has had some interesting turns. Not only lately, but most of my life. Only thing that has changed is that lately most of these turns have been for my favor. So many times it has occurred, that when I think that now I can breath freely, now everything will be fine, something bad happens. But not lately. I have experienced some wonderful, unexpected things.

I came to think about this after meeting new people and talking with them. There are few things in my life that I have always wanted to do, even started doing it and soon getting some issues against it. For example something small like going to meet a friend and have a coffee with them. The car won’t start. A child falls ill. They get something else to do. The coffee shop is closed. It is that disappointing feeling that hurts the most. I was expecting something nice to happen but I got something else instead. I got an opportunity to learn.

For last six months I have seen a shift in unexpected things. More and more of them have been good for me, and my trust into better future is getting restored. Of course, I can’t tell that it will be only sunshine and roses from now on, but I can say that I have lived a good life so far. Children are getting older and becoming more independent, my dreams are coming true and I’ve been able to help people when they needed help. I haven’t lived only for myself.

And have I ever mentioned I love this summer season? Because it is the time of the year that keeps me bouncing back from problems and hardships. Lots of sunshine, lots of warmth and loads of work. Every place is full of life, people are smiling and life seems to be easy and fine. It’s worth celebrating! Happy Midsummer!

With warm midsummer thoughts
