Lemons and lemonade

I like lemon juice. It’s a good addition into mineral water giving it some edge and sweetness. It’s like a perfect match with all the oily fish foods. It keeps avocado and banana slices green and yellow. It softens the skin in dry elbows and takes stains out of hands after picking blueberries. But when life throws you lemons, getting juice out of them is not the first thing that comes to mind.

I came to think about that saying tonight when I thought about all the drama that is caused for people not saying out loud what they feel or think. It’s like they have had those conversations inside their head with you , but they forgot that you were never actually present in there. There are all these accusations: you don’t care, you are impossible to talk to, you had ignored them and kept on living your own life and catching your own dreams, you don’t understand a thing. And none of this was shared with you. Still, you should know all of this.

I’m just wondering how often people get badly misguided by their own presumptions and how much less drama there would be in relationships. You can be the hero in your own mind but the ultimate villain in another person’s mind. No wonder there are so many conflicts and drama in this world. And all it would have taken is communication.

Next time you feel like throwing the temper tantrum, pause for a while. And carefully think whether it’s a problem inside your head, a memory or thought, or an actual action from another person. You will make this world slightly calmer place ❤ .

With tired, tempered thoughts.
