One of these things, that i’ve been considering recently, is the pace of change. The way how www world has changed the way we find information, stay connected, entertain us and how we even behave. I’m not telling that people have become too lazy or too arrogant, but it’s so easy to get lost within the world of entertainment. These modern day gladiators put effort to their looks and appearance, they are funny and they are lovable. Every now and then there appears a crack when their true colors are to be seen, sometimes beautiful, sometimes not so pretty. In those cases people realize, that their influencers are just like anybody else, not only a pretty image. They are not virtual but real beings.
And I believe that human beings haven’t changed in that sense a bit since the stone age. Those who knew how to tell a story has grabbed the attention ever since the first words were spoken, if not even earlier. It takes mind into places unseen, beyond the horizon. And at the moment the storyteller seems to be AI.

I find it interesting, how all this technology has developed during my lifetime. Our family got the first personal computer when I was about 14 years old. My first computer was purchased in 1989 with my ex-hubby with the money we earned in summer job. And oh, it was fun! Of course we used it for writing assays for studies, naturally, but most of the time was spent with strategy games and conquering the virtual worlds! And any modern smart phone beats it’s performance like 6-0 😀 At the moment there are 3 desk computers, 6 laptops and 5 smartphones in our family of five, and it seems to be normal in western world. It’s practically impossible to study or work without a connection to internet and to use all these applications.
And with all this access to all the information, what do most people do? They get amused by cat videos and reality shows. It’s so human behavior. We, as human beings, want to be in connection with other people and nature, to feel emotions. And it will be so interesting to see, how the developing AI will change that, or does it adopt into the same scenery. After all, it’s designed by people, not by the ant or the tuna. I’m not here to judge, I’m here to point out and educate. What matters most is the choice made knowingly, not by senseless drifting around. We have the power to choose.
