Maintaining balance

I had a day when my balance was off. Day started slowly, as there was no set schedule there, and many things just needed attention. I went to the working place, and all the small details took so long. In the early evening I wanted to see the view from our famous “mountain” Koli, and everything seemed so serene and calm. Weather was nice, view was nice, I had a moment for relaxing and connecting, and I was prepared to calmly finish my day with some excersise on meditation and visualization. And then it hit me! I got an inappropriate message to which I couldn’t reply about things that didn’t even concern that person. And all my calmness and trust in my decisions was lost. In a minute. Now, 12 hours after the incident, it’s still bothering me a bit, but thanks to focusing on mindfulness, it’s only a faint memory. Using affirmations like: I’m a good and balanced human. All these words go by like a summer breeze. To see the light you need to open your eyes. I’m wise and stand my ground.

Here’s the view from the top of Ukko-Koli, the highest peak of these ancient mountains, dating back to 1,8 billion years.
