Botania

I had such a lovely day in the city! It turned out to be my day off, relaxing day. First I went to public library of Joensuu, and took some pictures there, and after that I visited Botania, former botanic garden, that nowadays is more about cultural site. There have been several visual exhibitions, and at the moment there are small sculptures to be seen and purchased. I’ve loved that place ever since I started studies in Joensuu, and it still remains in a special place in my heart.

I’m so surprised how few people enjoy places like gardens and art exhibitions. I believe that both of those belong to everybody, and give food and balance for mind. It only takes few visits to learn what type of art speaks to one’s soul, there are so many art forms. It’s not only those neat paintings or screwed statues, it’s also lights, sounds, acts, different materials… the list is so long. The same goes with gardens. Every garden is different, and gives different emotions. Enjoy them all. No need to be green thumb to enjoy picnic or smell the fir, it’s all up to you, how to experience your surroundings. Enjoy the little moments!

with love to green
